Volunteer activity keeps Rollans Park healthy for happy visitors

The Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership board and staff thank the 10 volunteers who came out on a Saturday morning, June 13, to clean up litter and branches in Rollans Park in Ridgway. Volunteers also helped clear the trail of overgrowth and weeds, and water newly planted tree seedlings. From 5 to 75 years old, we had a fun time, made new friends, and enjoyed donated food from Crumb Bakery.

Also a big thank you to the Town of Ridgway for their assistance with picking up the trash bags and branch pile.

Rollans Park is an important riparian area used by the public in the Uncompahgre River Watershed. It’s the launching point for river recreation and an important wildlife habitat in the town.
