On Thursday, November 29, the Sherbino Theater hosted the Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership in their screening of “Watershed”, a Robert Redford film.
The movie discusses issues within the Colorado River Basin, such as issues with water rights, droughts and pollution. More importantly, however, it discusses communities and businesses that are practicing water conservation! For example, the James Ranch in Durango is highlighted in the movie as a well-managed farm that reduces their water use and grass feeds their livestock. You can view more about the movie at watershedmovie.com.
The Colorado Boy Brewery in Ridgway generously donated beer to our event, and dozens of attendees contributed $5 or more to enjoy it! Over 80 people were in attendance!
Thank you Sherbino, Colorado Boy, and all of our volunteers and attendees for making this event a success!
Congratulations on your movie success and the Wine, Chocolate and Cheese event sounds like it was fantastic. I look forward to meeting the Partners soon. Sorry I can’t be at your December meeting.
All the best from the Colorado Watershed Assembly.
Glad to hear that Watershed was a hit and that you and your audience enjoyed the film.
