Briana’s background as both a mining environmental geochemist and recreationalist led her to the Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership. When she is not working to reduce environmental impact, she is tending her Montrose garden, chickens, and bees, floating on rivers, skiing, or on some other adventure.
Her work ranges from water quality sampling and modeling to permitting and reclamation of legacy and operating mines. These projects have provided the opportunity to interact with local, state, and federal governments regarding environmental policy.
Briana has interacted with UWP, both professionally and as a volunteer, over many years. She looks forward to serving the organization and engaging in stakeholder dialog about the complex issues facing the Uncompahgre.
