2025 Uncompaghre Rubber Ducky Winners

The Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership (UWP) released 290 yellow duckies into the Uncompahgre River at Rollans Park at 5 p.m. on July 24, 2025, and our team of volunteers helped capture all of them before they could escape downstream.

The Uncompahgre Rubber Ducky Race had five winners of prizes donated buy generous sponsors.

Steve Lunnon won first place when his ducky crossed the finish line first, and received a certificate from MTN Lodge Ridgway and Million Roadhouse for a two-night stay with two Orvis Hot Springs passes and two drink passes to the Million Roadhouse plus a gift certificate for a half-day raft trip for 4 people from Mountain Waters Rafting on the Animas River in Durango, Colo.

Angela Todd won second place and will receive a certificate from Mountain Waters Rafting for a half-day raft trip for 4 people on the Animas River in Durango plus an REI Trail 25 pack.

Amanda Hill won third place and will receive an REI Trail 25 pack plus Ute Indian Museum 10-person family pass.

Caitlin Van Buskirk won fourth place and Kerstin May won fifth place. Both will receive a Ridgway RiverFest hat and Ute Indian Museum 10-person family pass.
