Annually, the Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership selects a partner from the previous year to honor and thank in our Annual Report. The 2023 Annual Report is still in production but we want to share the news that Tamara Gulde, co-owner of Mountain Fever Shirts & Gifts and council member for the City of Ouray, is our 2023 Partner!
Tamara participated in several meetings and field trips throughout UWP’s strategic planning process last year. Her input and questions were valuable in helping our nonprofit plan for future projects. She also participated in the Love Your Gorge volunteer event. Mountain Fever Shirts & Gifts, co-owned by Tamara and her husband, Bruce, has been a longtime donor to the Ridgway RiverFest and other watershed fundraisers.
Tamara, a Ouray citizen since 2005, is in her third year as a Ouray City Councilor. She has proudly served on several boards and committees over the years, including as a 10-year member and past vice chair of the City of Ouray Planning Commission. She also served on the Ouray Area Joint Planning Board, Beautification Committee, Ouray Hot Springs Pool Improvement Committee, Ouray Community Plan 2021, Chamber Resort Association, and as race cirector of the Mt. Sneffels Marathon and Half Marathon committee.
The UWP Board and staff truly appreciates all of Tamara’s participation in and support of UWP activities. (Also, thanks to Colorado Boy Southwest Pub for donating a gift card that we presented to Tamara.)
