On June 18 morning, 17 volunteers gathered in Ridgway’s Rollans Park along the Uncompahgre River to pick up litter, clear branches, pull weeds, take down unnecessary fencing, water trees, and maintain the trail. This event is part of UWP’s efforts for the Town of Ridgway’s Adopt-A-Park Program. The town staff also supported the event by picking up our trash bags and debris after the event. Our nonprofit is dedicated to maintaining and improving riparian areas in the watershed, and we couldn’t do it without the generous donations of time and energy from volunteers like those who came out last weekend. Thank you!
