Youth Volunteer Orientation

The Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership (UWP) brings together community members of all ages to discuss, plan and work on watershed protection and restoration projects, such as:

 Ridgway RiverFest

 San Juan Mining & Reclamation Conference

 Abandoned mine site remediation

 River Watch water quality monitoring

 Rollans Park Adopt-A-Park activities

 Stakeholder outreach

 Field trips for sampling, research, etc.

 Watershed education

Be a part of protecting and restoring our economy, natural resources and scenery. UWP needs student volunteers to help with:

 festival staffing like giving out information and selling silent auction items

 conference and event staffing like serving refreshments and greeting guests

 park cleanup and maintenance like picking up branches and painting facilities

 creation of online youth resources

 building boats with repurposed parts,

 planting alongside waterways, and more!
