The Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership is sponsoring an after-school program to help students prepare their entry for River of Words, a free international poetry and art contest on the theme of Watersheds. The contest is designed to help youth explore the natural and cultural history of the place they live.

The contest is open to kindergarten through 12th-grade students. The after-school program is geared toward first- through sixth-grade students, but older students who are interested in entering the contest should stop by the library for details.

To enroll, call, visit, or e-mail the library at OurayPL@gmail.com.

For contest details, e-mail Marnie Lansdown at lansdown@coloradohumanities.org.
