5th annual Love Your Gorge

Join UWP and the Ouray Ice Park in beautifying and maintaining the watershed around the Uncompahgre River Gorge. For 2022, we need some volunteers to pick up litter above the gorge along trails and roads, while some will be going into the gorge to pick up litter. Only experienced climbers with helmets will be permitted in the gorge.

We also plan to remove some invasive plant species this year to help native species thrive. Plus, we will help control erosion that has become an even more obvious problem during the heavy rains this year that have caused large flows of coarse sediment into the Uncompahgre River.
