Open to Public: Every other month* on 2nd Thursday 4-6 p.m.

Working Group Meetings will be held during the other months. UWP’s new Working Groups are: Watershed Work, Financials/Fundraising, Operations, and Education/Outreach. If you are interested in volunteering on a working group, please contact Tanya at tanya@uncompahgrewatershed.org.

Formerly known as the San Juan Mining and Reclamation Conference, the roots of this event will always exist in the San Juan Mountains. However, the history of mining in Colorado extends throughout the Rockies. Therefore, we are excited to expand the geographic reach of our conference and our name. We are now called the Rocky Mountain Mining and Reclamation Conference.

  • Weds May 22, evening: Keynote, meet and greet, and poster session at Tabor Opera House

  • Thurs May 23, 8:00am-4:00pm: Conference technical talks at Colorado Mountain College (breakfast + lunch included on site)

  • Thurs May 23, evening: Reception and dinner at Freight

  • Fri May 24, times will vary: Field trips in the Leadville region (+ box lunch)
