The 4th annual San Juan Mining Conference will take place in Creede, Colorado on April 24 and 25, 2014. This year, we will meet for two full days to exchange information and network across the common interest of water quality and mining. The new expanded format for this conference has allowed us to meet the needs and desires of watershed groups, government personnel, academia, and industry employees.
On the first day of this conference will feature a workshop on the how to’s of the Colorado Data Sharing Network. In the afternoon, tours of Willow Creek Reclamation Committee’s project sites and Rio Grande Silver, Inc.’s coreshed will be offered concurrently.
On the second day twelve speakers will embrace and discuss the nexus between water quality and mining theme. And, at the end of each session, a panel will be available to answer more in-depth questions.
To put on this event, the San Juan Mining Conference Steering Committee has donated numerous hours and resources. We continue to seek funding to ensure a conference that encourages new partnerships and solutions to water quality issues in the San Juan Mountain region. Please consider donations of $250 or more to this worthwhile cause.
